You’ll be joining a compassionate, experienced team committed to providing high-quality, personalised learning for pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health challenges. Beginning ASAP.
Duties as a SEND Teacher:
* Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning profiles and EHCPs
* Create a calm, safe and inspiring classroom environment
* Collaborate closely with support staff, SENCO, therapists and families
* Use assessment and observation to track progress and inform planning
* Champion inclusion and pupil voice at every level
* Help students build confidence, independence and self-belief
Ideal SEND Teacher:
* QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent recognised qualification
* A strong understanding of SEND and inclusive practice
* Experience teaching pupils with additional needs (mainstream or specialist setting)
* Empathy, patience, creativity – and a strong belief in every child’s potential
* Excellent teamwork and communication skills as a SEND Teacher
* Knowledge of EHCP processes and strategies such as TEACCH, PECS, or Zones of Regulation is a plus
