Conveyancing Clerk/Secretary

35 pw (Monday - Friday 9am-5pm)
Salary From circa £22,500 £23,000 dependent on experience
You will provide administrative/secretarial support for our busy Residential Conveyancing team in Belper, Derbyshire. Duties will include opening and closing files, maintaining computerised and manual files, providing quotes to prospective clients, dealing with the mail and communicating with clients and agents over the telephone, by email and in person.
Secretarial (including audio typing/digital dictation), IT and communication skills and experience are essential.
You must have previous administrative/secretarial experience and if you have legal / property conveyancing / estate agency experience that would be helpful. You must be able to work quickly and accurately, have excellent IT, customer care and communication skills and be organised, methodical and able to work effectively to deadlines.

Experience
Significant experience providing a professional administrative/secretarial service ideally within a residential conveyancing or legal services environment
Experience of working in a busy and fast paced environment
Experience of providing high levels of client care face to face and over the telephone
Experience of copy typing and digital dictation accurately and quickly
Experience of working on a range of computer software packages
Experience of handling confidential information appropriately
Skills and Abilities
Able to work quickly with a high degree of accuracy
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to handle interruptions professionally and maintain concentration
