About your new company We are looking for experienced Fire Alarm Engineers looking for a new challenge. We are working with a specialist Fire & Security contractor who are going through a significant period of growth. They are looking for an experienced multi-disciplined Fire and Security Engineer who is highly motivated and committed to providing exceptional levels of technical expertise and customer service. You will carry out maintenance, small works, and callouts as required on commercial fire and security systems. About your new role: * Responsible for first takeover of fire and security systems and ongoing maintenance * To provide a high level of maintenance and customer care * To carry out routine maintenance for fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV systems, access control systems etc. * Promote the Company’s excellent service levels and reputation * Liaise effectively with Customer Service Administrators to support effective business operations * Ensure all Health & Safety requirements are adhered to at all times * Cover emergency call outs as and when required * Ensure tools and spare parts are correct and the stock levels are maintained * Ensure company vehicle is serviced, maintained and cleaned * Ensure all administration and reporting is completed accurately and on time General * Undertake training as required including but not limited to Health & Safety and FIA * Be proactive, bring ideas, suggestions and contribute to business improvement * Attend staff and team meetings as required. * Promote the Company’s excellent service levels and reputation * Observe health and safety procedures in the workplace to ensure personal safety and to safeguard the interests and safety of colleagues, customers and visitors. About you: * Detailed knowledge of the principles of BAFE SP203/BS5839 * Good understanding of NACOSS (National Approval Council for Security Systems) regulations and FETA (Fire Extinguishing Trades Association) and Electrical Inspection Certificates for commercial Insurance (IEE) * Strong technical knowledge of Fire & Security products and systems. * Good working knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety requirements. * Able to work openly and co-operatively with others, both within immediate service team and elsewhere * A proactive and problem-solving approach to work * Self-motivated; able to organise own time effectively * Professional and courteous. Professional experience and qualifications: * You will have extensive experience in a similar role (at least five years). * You will hold relevant qualifications/certifications from Fire Industry Association, National Security Inspectorate, and The Loss Prevention Certification Board * Ideally you will have a City & Guilds Level 3 qualification or similar. * You will hold a full UK driving licence
