A small practice in the North East of England with a strong reputation in the clinical/medical negligence sector has a number of vacancies available for experienced lawyers with demonstrable expertise in claimant clinical negligence work. Candidates from a defendant background will also be considered, and my client is confident that the packages that they can offer will form an attractive proposition that may entice candidates to either return to claimant work or to make the jump entirely from defendant to claimant. These roles are available to lawyers who have qualified either as solicitors or as chartered legal executives through CILEx and my client is happy to consider candidates who might be looking for either full or part-time work. My client does offer hybrid working for candidates who are based directly in the North East of England and would be prepared to consider bespoke remote working arrangements for any experienced candidates who are based outside the region. Only candidates who have experience in clinical negligence will be suitable for these positions as my client is in need of candidates who can hit the ground running and be parachuted into existing caseloads. This vacancy is also not suitable for candidates with any less than 2PQE given that an experienced hand is needed to assist the firm at this time. My client does not have an upper limit on PQE in mind and there is a healthy budget in place to attract the right level of candidates for these positions. On top of a generous salary that can be tailored based around experience and expectations, my client can offer a generous annual leave allowance (28 days in addition to bank holidays with an additional day off on your birthday after one year of service) and a pension that depending on experience levels and time served can offer increased matched contributions. In addition to the financial benefits, my client has heavily invested in their case management systems, which have been developed specifically for clinical negligence work and with in-house technical staff consistently making updates to said system, candidates can rest assured that they will have a number of tools at their disposal to effectively assist them in their caseload duties.
