Conwy County Borough Council is looking for skilled, motivated professionals, experienced workers or those newly qualified within social work who can create positive changes in the families and communities they serve. If you excel in a child-focused and imaginative setting, this might be the right opportunity for you.
The team is responsible for delivering services to children that are Looked After and Leaving Care. There are a range of support services including In-house Psychologist and Therapeutic and Family Intervention Service to support any social worker to provide short to medium term interventions according to the assessed need. The team also has strong links with CAMHS.
The Permanency and Pathways Team requires dedicated social workers who are willing and able to make a difference. You will work with children and their families using an outcome based approach which will be co-produced with the child’s voice at the centre of any planning.
You will play a key role in making a real difference to the lives of Children Looked after and Care Leavers. This will include the promotion of reunification back to the care of parents and supporting Special Guardianship Orders.
