We have an exciting opportunity for the right person to join our Assets team as a Facilities Technician.
In this role, you'll carry out all fire inspections and health and safety inspections within our communal areas and community buildings, ensuring they are safe, clean and clear of obstructions. You'll also carry out routine testing and inspection of passive and active fire protection systems and document the results.
As a Facilities Technician you'll undertake a wide array of tasks including:
* Waste management
* Removing and managing rubbish and hazardous materials utilising the TORT process
* Water Hygiene inspections and flushing
* Security Checks
* Landlord Meter reading for PV, gas, electric and water
* Provide on site support to facilities team
* Building safety inspections
* Contractor support
* KMS & router resets, fault finding etc
* Safe isolation procedures.
A level of flexibility and expertise will be required in completing your work with accuracy to checks and reporting for audit. Another key responsibility will be to positively promote Beyond Housing and ensure there is a great health and safety culture within the team, making sure all risk assessments and safe working practices are strictly adhered to.
To succeed in this role you will need to have experience in a maintenance or facilities environment (or another related area of work), have excellent communication skills and be an effective team worker. You will also be required to hold a full driving license.
