We are looking for an Accounts Payable Team Leader to oversee our clients AP function, drive performance, and support the finance team in delivering exceptional service.
Our client is committed to excellence in finance operations, and they are looking for a proactive, detail-driven, and people-oriented Accounts Payable Team Leader to drive performance, enhance processes, and support the finance function.
What You’ll Be Doing:
1. Leading & developing a small AP team to ensure accurate and timely invoice processing
2. Managing purchase ledgers and ensuring compliance with financial procedures
3. Owning and optimising the Open Accounts Purchase Ordering System (POP) & eBis
4. Supporting finance and non-finance employees with training on payables procedures
5. Overseeing supplier payments, resolving queries, and maintaining strong relationships
6. Preparing financial reports, reconciliations, and supporting audit processes
7. Driving process improvements and efficiency in accounts payable operations
What We’re Looking For:
Essential:
1. Finance department experience, with strong knowledge of accounts payable processes
2. Familiarity with finance system software (e.g. Open Accounts, eBis)
3. Ability to lead, develop, and support a small team
4. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organisational skills
5. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Desirable:
1. Knowledge of VAT accounting and financial regulations
2. Experience working in a large-scale finance function
3. Project/process improvement experience
