Lead Information Manager
Aureos is seeking a Lead Information Manager to join our existing team in either Nottingham or Crewe.
The Lead Information Manager is responsible for establishing, implementing, and overseeing best practices in Digital Information Management, including security policies, tools, governance, and training across our infrastructure and construction projects.
Key aspects of the role include managing and maintaining, as product owner, the corporate CDE ensuring compliance with ISO 19650 standards, promoting the effective adoption of information management practices across the business, and leading the Information Management (IM) team. Additionally, the role supports company-wide digital integration efforts and ensures the consistent delivery of high-quality data and document control processes.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Information Management
* Develop and implement the Aureos Information Management (IM) strategy, defining standardised IM practices across all Aureos sectors, frameworks and projects.
* Define, implement and promote standards and procedures to drive consistency and reduce risk.
* Oversee the establishment, control, and management of the Common Data Environment (CDE) for project information and ensure compliance with Aureos standards and appropriately aligned to ISO19650 and ISO27001.
* Ensure timely launch and training of ACC during project mobilisation.
* Ensure all project information is stored and managed appropriately in accordance with agreed Information Management Plan.
* Own, develop and execute the communications & training plan, working with Aureos Communication team.
* Support and inform the digital transformation strategy as it develops, supporting ACC related integrations and the rollout of other technologies/digital tools as required.
* Explore use case(s) and advocate for GIS use across the business as part of an enhanced digital strategy.
* Ensure the ACC System Specialist works within the governance framework dictated by Aureos IT at all times and any development work is fully documented and approved.
* Data & Reporting - Ensure alignment between project data and the Data Warehouse/Aureos Reporting standards, supporting the development of appropriate reports/metrics.
* Identify and engage digital delivery support partners pending internal capability.
Team Management & Development
* Provide functional line management for all Information Managers.
* Directly manage the Document Control Community, ensuring the effective adoption and auditing of document control best practices.
* Identify training needs and develop learning programmes for the team.
* Establish a collaborative network for knowledge sharing and best practices among peers across the Aureos IM/DC community.
* Establish training and competency matrix, with supporting JD’s.
* Establish training scheme. Integrate functional training plan to L&D platform and the Aureos GPS process.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Work Winning Support
* Serve as the main point of contact for information management and digital delivery across projects, working closely with clients, subcontractors, and project teams to ensure data management objectives are met.
* Facilitate collaboration across various project teams and departments, ensuring effective communication and smooth data exchanges.
* Support Work Winning efforts by contributing to tender responses and reviews, ensuring tender team is clearly informed of any related commercial risks, opportunities and/or specific resource demands.
Quality Control & Compliance
* Ensure data accuracy, security, and integrity across the CDE.
* Enforce strict document and data control processes to ensure adherence to quality standards and contractual requirements.
* Monitor compliance with ISO 19650, PAS1192, and other relevant standards across all projects.
* Conduct regular audits to assess compliance and identify improvement opportunities.
Training & Knowledge Sharing
* Promote Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) adoption by developing self-serve training content.
* Track and report on training engagement and completion rates.
* Provide comprehensive training and support materials to enable effective collaboration with the supply chain.
* Support & develop the ACC Onboarding & Training Coordinator.
* Act as the escalation point for IM-related issues across all frameworks and projects.
* Work with IT to define, develop and implement risk mitigation strategies related to information security and data loss.
* Ensure that all project information adheres to data privacy and security protocols, particularly when handling sensitive or confidential information.
Business-Wide Support
* Advocate for effective Information Management and support the roll-out of the CDE across the business.
* Promote innovation and best practices sharing and applying lessons.
* Support the execution of the Digital Transformation plan as it develops.
* Plan for and deliver ISO19650 certification.
* Work with Aureos IT to support ISO27001 certification efforts.
Key Qualifications & Experience
* Proven experience in Information Management in a senior role.
* Expertise in managing Common Data Environments (CDE) and implementing BIM processes in accordance with ISO19650.
* Strong leadership skills with experience in mentoring individuals and managing teams.
* In-depth knowledge of digital technologies, data management systems, and their application in construction and infrastructure projects.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
* Familiarity with platforms such as Autodesk Construction Cloud, ProjectWise, or similar tools.
* Experience in training and upskilling teams on digital information management.
* Relevant certifications in information management or BIM.
* GIS experience.
