Specialist Radiographer - permanent 37 hrs per week, Band 6
(Band 5 Development Post will also be considered)
The X-ray Department at Campbeltown Hospital is seeking an experienced and friendly radiographer to join our small radiography team.
Would you like to live and work in Argyll, an area on the West coast of Scotland of outstanding natural beauty? Would you like to swap the stresses of city living for a more relaxed lifestyle where you can really feel part of the community? We have a full time vacancy based in Campbeltown Community Hospital.
Campbeltown is the main town on the Kintyre peninsula and is surrounded by beautiful sandy beaches and stunning scenery. There are 4 golf courses including the famous Machrihanish courses and also the Aqualibrium centre. Local schools cater for nursery to high school age children, with further and higher education opportunities available through Argyll College, academic partner to the University of the Highlands and Islands.
While this post is Band 6 it would be suitable for a newly qualified radiographer as this could also be a training/development post and Annex 21 terms and conditions will be applied.
The position covers all aspects of plain film radiography, A/E, Outpatients, Inpatients, GP & Dental and also includes an on call commitment.
We are seeking a dedicated, self-motivated individual with excellent clinical skills and preferably with previous NHS experience. We support CPD and role development and our ideal candidate would be committed to training and development and would welcome the opportunity to work independently whilst being part of a team.

This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
