Job Description:
Overall Purpose of the Role:
For the projects delegated, to:
1. Ensure the company strategy and policy is delivered to all staff and supply chain.
2. Assist with new project tenders and development of pre-construction activities.
3. Ensure projects are adequately resourced and teams are set up to be successful.
4. Ensure staff and supply chain are adequately trained.
5. Operate safely and compliantly in line with company policy and legislative requirements.
6. Deliver contractual obligations ahead of programme.
7. Ensure projects are built to the design and agreed QCQA standard.
8. Produce no less than the required monthly reports internally and externally.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Understand the contractual and legislative requirements (H&S, Budget, Scope of works, Design/drawings, Programme).
2. Ensure the monthly board report information is being issued (CVR, Staff Tracker, Training requirements via the Contracts Manager(s) & Project Manager(s)).
3. Monitor/ensure all aspects of H&S compliance to ensure all works are to the required standards.
4. Ensure all aspects of Design & QA/QC are being delivered and conduct a monthly audit.
5. Ensure the Contract Manager & Project Manager are planning resources and materials to better the contract programme, including maintaining a constant look-ahead plan.
6. Ensure as-built programmes and delay/variation records are being kept and issued as required.
7. Ensure compliance with Lawtech company policies, protocols/IMS & FIRAS.
Role-specific:
1. Technical – experienced Contracts/Project Manager within construction for large projects (£ms).
2. Asbestos awareness, scaffold inspection, and first aid certificates.
3. Programme and project management – proficiently manage the production of Gantt charts including critical path analysis, interpretation of requirements, and tracking of financial information.
4. CRB checked as required for specific sites, e.g. schools.
General IT:
Comfortable using Microsoft Word and Excel.
