Randstad are recruiting for a Mechanical Design and Project Engineer for a client based in Worcester.
They are a well:established company and part of a large group that specialises in manufacturing
machinery.
Reporting into the Engineering Director, the successful candidate will possess an aptitude for
innovative design, with a strong varied, practical background who can apply this knowledge and
experience to the design of bespoke mechanical assemblies.
The ideal candidate will be proficient with a wide variety of products, including but not limited to
rotating machinery, mechanical handling, hydraulics and have a strong understanding of integrating
control technology into assemblies and circuits.
The Role
This role has the responsibility of delivering projects from concept design through to fruition,
working in conjunction with customers, project managers, engineering and controls teams and the
production department.
Responsibilities:
x25CF; Concept design generation
x25CF; Attending customer meetings remotely and on site when required
x25CF; Detail design generation
x25CF; CAD : Solidworks preferred but not essential, other CAD packages will be considered
x25CF; Production of manufacturing drawings
x25CF; Producing comprehensive bills of materials for procurement
x25CF; Managing budgets and deadlines
x25CF; Documenting in house build and test procedures
x25CF; Overseeing assembly of equipment in the workshop
x25CF; Documenting installation and commissioning procedures for use at customers premises
x25CF; Support to others in the engineering and controls teams will be required
This is a full time permanent position with a salary of GBP40,000:GBP50,000 depending on experience.
The role is fully on site in Worcester with occasional travel, which will be covered by the company,
and an early finish on Fridays.
