They are building a Mechanical Engineering team in the Manchester office and are looking for a driven and experienced Principal / Associate Mechanical Engineer to join their team.
Location: Manchester (City Centre)
Salary: £65,000 to £75,000 (depending on the experience)

Purpose of the Role:
As an Associate Mechanical Designer, you’ll be reporting to the Director. You will support the delivery and project management of Mechanical Services Design on assigned projects, while taking the lead in providing M&E representation. You will be responsible for maintaining and improving the quality and efficiency of the Mechanical Services design and post contract implementation whilst supporting junior engineers and assisting with their personal development. The successful candidate will leverage their extensive experience to oversee all mechanical design aspects, prepare M&E specifications, including environmental strategies, assist in the preparation of elemental M&E cost plans, and input to the Stage 2 and 3 MEP Reports. You will drive the integration of cutting-edge technologies and sustainable practices, ensuring that our designs comply with the latest industry standards and low-carbon legislation. As an Associate Designer, you’ll also are expected providing technical support to junior engineers and technicians. This position requires a dynamic individual capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining stringent budget controls and timelines while delivering exceptional results. This opportunity will also be pivotal in client relationship management, working closely with architects, stakeholders, and clients to develop comprehensive and creative design solutions that meet and exceed expectations.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Proven track record in mechanical (HVAC) design within the building services industry, with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
* Expertise in utilising design software such as AutoCAD, Revit-MEP, and other relevant tools, with advanced knowledge of mechanical systems and components.
* Strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to budgets and timelines, with experience in leading large-scale projects.
* Leadership Skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clients, architects, and stakeholders, with a proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
* Regulatory Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of industry standards, codes, and HVAC design and building services regulations.
* Be prepared to travel to meetings and projects, as necessary. Generally local to contracted office, but occasional work in other parts of UK and Europe or overseas that may necessitate an overnight stay
* Hold a valid UK Driving Licence(preferable)
