If you are passionate about supporting young people to develop their confidence and achieve their full potential, Southport College offers a rewarding opportunity for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team.
About the role
In this role, you will provide essential support to students aged 16-18 with a range of needs, including assistance with English and Maths, learning difficulties, disabilities, and behavioural or motivational challenges. Your support will be delivered in various learning environments, such as classrooms, workshops, work placements, and external trips and will involve working on a one-to-one basis, in small groups, or within a shared support setting.
To be successful in this role, you will need a relevant Level 3 qualification or be willing to work towards one. Previous experience in providing student support in one-to-one, shared, or group settings is also essential. You will also have undertaken safeguarding training within the last 12 months.
