A Creative Agency is looking for a Senior Lighting CGI Artist to help support on a campaign for an iconic FMCG brand.
Department Summary
VFX is delivered across multiple disciplines, channels, clients and products. We create animated characters, computer-generated food with AI backgrounds, photo-real, real- time environments, digital twins, and much more. The department includes lighters, modellers, animators, pipeline developers and producers in both onshore and offshore locations supporting global and local client needs.
What does a Senior Lighting CGI Artist – FMCG do?
The Senior Lighting CGI Artist will be essential in creating exceptional visual content for our FMCG clients, leveraging the latest 3D software and techniques. This role involves working closely with the Creative Director, overseeing daily operations alongside CGI leads, managing projects, communicating with clients, and troubleshooting their needs. The ideal candidate will excel in lighting FMCG products, consistently achieving high-fidelity results.
Responsibilities
• Creating exceptional visual content for FMCG clients.
• Collaborating closely with the Creative Director and other CGI leads.
• Communicating with clients and building strong relationships with partner agency Art Directors.
• Reviewing work and troubleshooting client requirements.
• Contributing to the improvement of production pipelines.
Requirements
• Proven experience with 3DS Max & Cinema 4D is required
• Experience with Houdini is a must.
• Experience with other industry-standard 3D software (e.g., Maya, Max, V-Ray) to light and render products.
• Mastery of studio lighting using HDRi techniques as well as full HDRi
environment lighting.
• Familiarity with AI workflows, ideally Stable Diffusion and ComfyUI.
• Ability to collaborate with in-house pipeline teams to handle complex 3D and USD files, ensuring organised and efficient rendering and output of content.
• Advanced Photoshop skills to enhance CGI work.
• A thorough understanding of production workflows and procedures, ensuring all rendered assets meet quality standards through rigorous checks.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a solid understanding of general CGI
techniques.
• Active participation in improving production pipelines and processes.
