Position Summary
Nestlé Product Technology Centre - Confectionery (NPTC) is currently recruiting for an experienced Site Operations Senior Technician to join the team at our York Research and Development Centre. As a Senior Pilot Plant Technician, you will be a key team member working in our state-of-the-art experimental pilot plant and logistics team and occasionally on other Nestlé sites both in the UK and abroad.

A day in the life of a Site Operations Senior Technician
As a Site Operations Senior Technician, you will be responsible for:
1. Planning, execution, and follow-up of operational tasks in R&D.
2. Working closely with specialists, project managers, and experts on planning, carrying out, and following up on trials/tests in relation to innovation and renovation of products/processes/systems.
3. Building operational knowledge within your own field and contributing to knowledge building and sharing in R&D.
4. Coaching and training less experienced colleagues.
5. Ensuring a safe workplace through reviewing and preparing risk assessments and standard operating procedures.
6. Assisting project leaders in designing and conducting pilot plant and factory trials.
7. Managing compliance documentation related to your area of responsibility.
8. Playing a supporting role to continually develop knowledge enhancements across a wide range of stakeholders.
What will make you successful?
To be successful in this role you will be passionate, proactive, and results-focused. You may have production experience, R&D experience, or be a recent graduate looking for your next steps outside of university.
You will also have:
1. Significant and in-depth practical experience within your areas of specialism.
2. Experience of End-to-End management of trials/tests.
3. Up-to-date knowledge of quality, safety, hygiene, and environment requirements.
4. Proven experience of R&D and/or operating/factory experience in the product category.
5. Significant exposure in different project and support activities of the organisation.
6. Led initiatives within projects successfully.
7. Demonstrated continuous initiative and improvement.
