Are you a strategic and people-focused HR professional looking to make a meaningful impact in mental healthcare? We’re looking for an HR Business Partner to lead and develop our People function, delivering world-class HR services and driving organisational success.
As a key member of the Senior Management Team, you’ll work closely with the People Director to shape and execute our HR strategy—ensuring compliance, employee engagement, and a high-performance culture.
What You’ll Be Doing
Employee Relations & Compliance
* Provide expert advice on complex ER cases (disciplinaries, grievances, capability dismissals, employment tribunals, etc.).
* Lead TUPE transfers and redundancy processes, ensuring full compliance with legal frameworks.
* Maintain CQC compliance and ensure HR policies align with regulatory requirements.
* Oversee GDPR compliance and data protection practices.
HR Operations
* Collaborate with the recruitment team to enhance candidate experience and retention.
* Develop a reward structure that fosters fairness, consistency, and market competitiveness.
Leadership & Strategic HR
* Lead on HR projects, embedding NHC values and fostering an inclusive, high-performance culture.
* Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on HR policies, best practices, and strategic initiatives.
* Deliver HR training and coaching to line managers, empowering them to handle people management effectively.
* Drive industry accreditations and contribute to organisational recognition.
What We’re Looking For
️ CIPD Level 5 or 7 qualification (or equivalent experience)
️ Proven experience in a HR role, ideally in a fast-paced healthcare environment
️ Strong expertise in TUPE, redundancy, employee relations, and employment law
️ Ability to manage complex HR cases with commercial awareness and discretion
️ A strategic thinker who can influence senior stakeholders and drive change
️ Exceptional organisation, communication, and problem-solving skills

Salary banding £35-45k plus car allowance
