Overview: As a Computer Science/Engineering Apprentice at Enferm, you will join a dynamic team focused on developing and maintaining innovative technology solutions that power our healthcare staffing operations. This apprenticeship offers a hands-on opportunity to work on real-world projects, contributing to the development of platforms like Realday, and ensuring the seamless integration of various systems. You will gain valuable experience in software development, systems integration, and data management, helping Enferm to scale its operations and improve service delivery. Location: UK, Milton Keynes, MK9 1LR Department: Software and Web Development, Level 4 Salary: £17,000 - £20,000 per annum. Key Responsibilities: Software Development: Assist in the design, development, and testing of new features for Enferm’s technology platforms, including Realday. System Integration: Work on integrating various tools and platforms (e.g., Realday, Google Workspace, Airtable) to ensure seamless data flow and operational efficiency. Database Management: Support the management and optimisation of databases, ensuring data integrity and availability for key business processes. Automation: Help in automating routine tasks and processes, leveraging APIs and scripting to improve operational efficiency. Troubleshooting and Support: Assist in diagnosing and resolving technical issues across Enferm’s platforms, providing support to internal teams as needed. Collaboration: Work closely with the engineering team, product managers, and other departments to align technical solutions with business needs. What we are looking for: Key skills and attributes: Technical aptitude: Strong interest in software development, systems integration, and technology innovation. Programming knowledge: Basic understanding of programming languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript. Problem-solving skills: Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and propose effective solutions. Attention to detail: Strong attention to detail, particularly in coding and debugging. Organisational skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects, prioritising work effectively. Teamwork: Willingness to collaborate with colleagues and contribute to a supportive team environment. Tech-savvy: Familiarity with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and an eagerness to learn new tools and technologies. Entry requirements: The learner must have completed a Level 3 Software Development Apprenticeship with QA or have an equivalent qualification with another training provider OR an A-level in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) subject and a successful completion of our aptitude test OR a BTEC Diploma in IT and a successful completion of our aptitude test OR 2 years’ experience in a relevant role and successful completion of our aptitude test Working week: 8:30am - 5:30pm from Monday - Thursday and from 8:30am - 4:30pm on Friday's.
