About the role
Permanent, Monday- Friday (7.45am- 8.45am), 5 hours per week, 38 weeks per year - please view the attachment for a detailed job spec
* To supervise and assist children at breakfast club
* To ensure a safe and positive environment is maintained
* Ensure all children behave in an appropriate manner
* To supervise students whilst eating their breakfast
* To assist in clearing away and tidying the breakfast room
* To supervise students, being especially vigilant as to the health and safety, welfare and security of pupils.
* To provide first aid treatment to students, staff and visitors (after appropriate training)
* To carry out task and duties as required by the line manager appropriate to the grading of the post including record keeping and distribution and preparation of food.
* To undertake training as required
* To liaise directly with parents and carers
* The Health and Safety at Work etc. Act (1974) and other associated legislation places responsibilities for Health and Safety on all employees. Therefore, it is the post holder’s responsibility to take reasonable care for the Health, Safety and Welfare of him/herself and other employees in accordance with legislation and the schools Safety Policy and Programme. Specific details are outlined in the Departmental Safety Policy.

The ideal candidate will have:
* a professional qualification relating to childcare or child education
* relevant work experience in an educational setting
* significant experience of interacting with children and families
* the ability to work on own initiative
* excellent organisational skills and ability to maintain an organised and professional working environment
* the ability to maintain accurate written/electronic records and produce concise and informative report
