Nord Anglia Education is the world’s leading premium schools organisation, with more than 70 schools located across dozens of countries in the Americas, Europe, China, Southeast Asia, India and the Middle East. Together, our schools educate over 67,000 students from kindergarten through to the end of secondary school. Our philosophy for education rests on our four pillars of creativity, wellbeing, excellent academic outcomes, and global connectedness. These are delivered through innovative use of educational technology to create a personalised 21st century learning experience for all students. Every parent wants the best for their child — so do we. Nord Anglia schools deliver high quality, transformational education and ensure excellent academic outcomes by going beyond traditional learning. Our global scale enables us to recruit and retain world-leading teachers and to offer unforgettable experiences through global and regional events, while our engaging learning environments ensure all of our students love coming to school. Léman International School Chengdu (LIS) opened in the fall of 2009. Our school serves the children of expatriate families from age 2 to 18 years in a Pre-Nursery to Year 13 program. Our purpose built campus occupies 50 acres (20 hectares) in the Tianfu New Area of Chengdu and has capacity for approximately 1,000 students. Chengdu is a modern city in Western China famous for excellent food and the home of the Giant Panda. Many interesting destinations in South East Asia are a short flight away. The city is affordable with a lower cost of living than many comparable cities in China, so there is good savings potential for teachers. Léman boasts world class facilities on an extensive campus. These include fully equipped modern classrooms, science laboratories, art studios, music studios, computing and STEAM rooms, a gymnasium, a 25 meter indoor swimming pool and extensive outdoor sports facilities. Our student body represents more than 30 nationalities and the school provides international curricula with the commitment to support students’ return to their home country. The Primary School curriculum is based on the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) and the English National Curriculum. The IPC is currently provided in 1,000 schools in 65 countries. Year 7 to 11 utilises the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP). LIS is an IB World School and offers the IB Diploma Programme for students in Year 12 and 13. LIS is fully accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) COBIS (Council of British International Schools) the IB and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC).
