This is a fantastic role for someone who is looking for a varied working week, from running activity offerings, operating reception, to making coffees in our lodge themed bar & coffee house.
Activities include kayaking, canoeing & paddle boarding, raft building, archery, battle archery, axe throwing and air rifle shooting. All training will be provided.
You will need to use organisational skills and effective communication skills to manage the various booking systems and liaise with customers.
Key Tasks:
1. Delivery of excellent, engaging and fun sessions
2. Preparation, planning, co-ordination and evaluation of the sessions
3. Adhere to risk assessments and ensure health and safety during sessions
4. Kit maintenance checks (ensuring the safety of equipment)
5. Fixing kit when required (with support and guidance)
6. Activity bookings (including school groups & parties)
7. Customer relations
8. Using software systems to manage reservations
9. Accommodation checks in advance of guests arriving
10. Preparing a range of hot and cold drinks, and supporting the cafe.
The most important things are that you have a positive attitude, confidence with customers and talking to groups, and have a genuine love for outdoor pursuits and hospitality in general. You’ll need to have a willingness to pitch in where required due to the diversity of our site. This is a real opportunity for someone to experience a range of departments and gain a great range of skills and knowledge.
We would prefer you to have experience in the outdoor adventure setting and to have qualifications in Archery and Water Sports. Qualifications are preferable but not essential – if you think you’re the right person for the job please apply even if you’re not yet qualified.
