Paediatric Diabetes Nurse Specialist
An exciting development opportunity has arisen for an experienced, enthusiastic and self - motivatedRegistered Children's Nurseto join our Paediatric Diabetes team.
You will work as a member of the multi-disciplinary team, delivering a high-quality service to our patients.
You should have excellent communication skills, be effective in multidisciplinary/ team working and be able to deliver both group education and individual interventions.
Relevant training will be supported under the lead of Professor May NG OBE
You will be required to undertake teaching and training of other health professionals once appropriate training undertaken.

Act as the clinical expert and professional resource to the patients and carers and multi-professional team, within their specialist service
Work alongside other Specialist nurses/Matron to ensure the development and delivery of a high-quality service
Directly or indirectly influence all aspects of care and management of patients within the service/specialty.
Deliver high quality, clinically effective care, and patient experience, utilising research and in collaboration with colleagues.
Work with the multi professional team to manage the care of our patients with diabetes to provide seamless care.
Manage own delegated caseload of patients, as appropriate within the specialty, delivering individualised and personalised direct patient care, whilst facilitating the development of self-care and knowledge.

We also provide urgent care at our Urgent Treatment Centre located in St Helens town centre.
Specialist Regional Services
We provide the Mersey Regional Burns & Plastic Surgery Unit at Whiston Hospital and the Spinal Injuries Unit at Southport Hospital to more than 4 million people across the whole of Merseyside, West Lancashire, Cheshire, Isle of Man and North Wales.
