Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in various environments, ensuring that all areas are kept to the highest standards. This role is crucial in providing a safe and pleasant atmosphere for both children, staff and visitors. Experience in commercial cleaning is preferred, as you will be working in diverse settings that require a professional approach.
Working with our team, the hours are Monday – Friday 3.15-17.45pm (12.5 hrs per week). This position is term time only with the opportunity for occasional holiday cleaning if required during the holidays. Experience of cleaning in a non-domestic environment would be beneficial but not essential as full training will be provided.
Responsibilities
1. Perform general cleaning duties including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
2. Clean and sanitise restrooms, kitchens, and communal areas to ensure a hygienic environment.
3. Dispose of waste and recycling appropriately, following health and safety regulations.
4. Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, ensuring they are in good working order.
5. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
6. Follow established cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure consistency in service delivery.
7. Collaborate with team members to achieve efficient cleaning operations.
Experience
1. Previous experience in commercial cleaning is highly desirable but not essential.
2. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies is an advantage.
3. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
4. Good time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
5. A proactive approach to problem-solving and maintaining high standards of cleanliness.

Starting Full time equivalent salary (FTE) is £23,656. Actual salary is pro-rated by the number of hours per week worked and number of weeks worked per year and works out approx. to £6,812.95.
