This is a FY2 post/s. The remit of the postholder/s will be to work within the multi–disciplinary team providing and further developing care for patients within the service. In addition, the individual will be required to play an active role in the general workload of the Care Group while having a significant commitment to teaching and training of junior staff. This post is ideal for doctors who wish to gain experience in paediatrics and neonates, either before embarking on applying for a Paediatric Training post or as someone wishing to work in the NHS for the first time (having already gained experience abroad). Previous paediatric and/or neonatal experience in a level 1 or level 2 unit (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential. UK NHS experience is desirable. It is envisaged that the appointee will contribute to the development and delivery of aspects of these services depending upon their interests and experience.
