Position Overview:
As a Senior SHE Advisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the continuous improvement of safety, health, environment, and quality performance within our organization. You will champion a positive SHEQ culture, set and maintain high standards of practice, and provide expert guidance to management teams, employees, and contractors. Your influence will be felt in promoting safety awareness and compliance, as well as driving the implementation of best practices across our projects.
Key responsibilities:
* Establish and maintain SHEQ standards, delivering relevant awareness training to internal staff and contractors as required.
* Develop and enhance SHEQ procedures to exceed customer expectations, meet legislative requirements, and align with company standards.
* Drive individual and collective awareness of the importance of SHEQ within the organization.
* Provide advice and support to management teams and employees, ensuring alignment with our commitment to safety and responsibility.
* Collaborate with teams to create and implement action plans for risk minimization and improvement.
* Monitor work locations for compliance, liaise with regulatory authorities, and maintain communication with stakeholders.
* Contribute to the development of SHEQ strategies and systems, offering insights for continuous improvement.
* Analyse SHEQ statistical data and contribute to action and improvement plans.
* Lead safety training sessions in line with company requirements and employee needs.
* Share best practices and learning across teams, regions, and the organization.
* Stay updated with legislation, technology, and industry best practices.
* Foster positive relationships with regulatory authorities, customers, and stakeholders.
* Support improvement programs on local and business unit levels.
Qualifications and skills:
* NEBOSH certificate or equivalent Health and Safety qualification.
* Profound knowledge of quality management systems.
* Experienced in designing and delivering training programs.
* Extensive understanding of legislation and industry standards.
* Self-motivated and committed to continuous improvement.
* Expertise in risk management and occupational health.
