As the Head of Actuarial Transformation, you will play a crucial role in leading the design, build, and embedding of the BGIUK Actuarial Transformation Programme (AC/DC). This role is integral to delivering our Data, Actuarial Modelling Foundation, and Commercial Analytics pillars, which are key to our mission of providing reliable data and enhancing actuarial processes. Key Responsibilities Lead and support the BGIUK Actuarial Transformation Programme to deliver Data, Actuarial Modelling, and Commercial Analytics platforms. Build and embed the Actuarial Month-end data processes in Snowflake. Enhance access to and delivery of reliable data to reduce decision-making time. Improve actuarial processes to systemize regular tasks, reducing risk and manual intervention. Investigate the uses, capabilities, and future of current actuarial modelling platforms. Provide structured analytics to enhance commercial insights and support quarterly reserving. Engage with Group Actuarial and key stakeholders to ensure delivery meets business needs. Support the Technical Actuarial team to enhance process optimization, culture, governance, and ways of working. Report project status, key decisions, and challenges to local and Group Project governance committees. What We’re Looking For Ideally a qualified actuary with at least 10 years of actuarial experience (although alternatives considered DOE) Experience in reserving and designing reserving methodologies for insurance products. Knowledge of health insurance, preferably UK Private Medical Insurance. Strong commercial decision-making skills. Understanding of Solvency/Capital requirements and actuarial forecasting processes. Excellent planning, organizational, and project management skills. Proven ability to manage change and work with ambiguity and uncertainty. Strong communication and influencing skills, with experience presenting complex issues clearly. Experience managing a specialist team with a mix of actuarial and non-actuarial personnel.
