The Family Safeguarding model is an integrated, strengths-based approach designed to keep families together wherever possible, with a strong focus on safety, well-being, and long-term change.
Key Responsibilities:

Undertake comprehensive assessments and develop outcome-focused care and safeguarding plans
*
Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary professionals to safeguard and support children and families
*
Hold a caseload of children subject to Child in Need and Child Protection plans, including those in pre-proceedings
*
Carry out statutory visits and assessments within timescales
*
Prepare reports for conferences, reviews, and court where required
Essential Requirements:
*
Qualified Social Worker (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)
*
Social Work England registration
*
Minimum of 3 years’ post-qualifying experience in children’s statutory services
*
Proven experience in safeguarding and care planning
*
Ability to work effectively within a multi-agency setting
