Kin House, a private-hire hotel and events space in Wiltshire is seeking an experienced Event Operations Manager to oversee and deliver a busy calendar of events, including brand takeovers, corporate stays and weddings. As part of the senior leadership team on site, you will work with all of our HODs– leading by example to ensure an exceptional client experience from initial enquiry to the delivery of the event itself. The right candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit and be an ambassador for the Kin House brand standards, with keen attention to detail and a passion for service. A successful Events Operations Manager will work collaboratively with the House Manager to actively seek ways to over deliver on guest experience and lead the team through the operational delivery of events and guest stays.
Responsibilities include:
* Being the key point of contact and leading the team for all client facing interaction and experiences at the venue and ensuring an exceptional client experience at every touch point.
* Assisting the House Manager in overseeing the smooth running of all departments, leading from the ground and by example, to manage the customer experience from point of enquiry to the delivery of the event with a focus on leading the event delivery and hosting operational running of the site.
* Ensuring the brand standards are met at all times through venue presentation and all customer communications.
* Assessing strategic ways to improve and develop the site to deliver efficiency and exceptional client experience at every step of the client journey.
* Proactively working with the Kin House management company, Dearborn Estates, to implement ways to increase revenue and profitability, particularly from services provided by the F&B department.
* Hosting weekly HOD and operations meetings and overseeing the operational teams, working with them to deliver exceptional weddings and events, including post-event reporting.
* Genuine and approachable team leadership that will empower and inspire, including training, supporting staff and managing team rotas.
* Identifying and escalating maintenance issues and dealing with these where necessary.
* Ensuring rotas, staffing, logistics and bars are covered and running efficiently.
* Proactively seeking opportunities to improve the operational functionality of the venue and working closely with the House Manager to implement improvements.
* Creating and updating SOP’s to ensure effective delivery of every product.
* Ensuring optimal operating functionality of the hotel experience. And working closely with the team to set up and oversee guest stays.
* Working closely with the House Manager to oversee revenue and hit target GPs.
Requirements:
* 3 years’ experience in senior management position with a hospitality background ideally specialising
* in luxury functions and events
* An innate passion for exceptional customer service and high-end hosting
* Highly organised, efficient and detail-oriented
* A natural communicator with experience leading all departments within the hospitality sector
* Proven record of working to budgets and effective team management
Package:
* Salary: dependent on experience
* Holiday allowance of 28 days (inclusive of bank holidays) Hours
* 45 hours over 5 days inclusive of weekends and weekends
