Digital Services are looking for a Data Architect to join our Architecture and Application Team. Working with the other architects, the role will be pivotal in designing and implementing robust, scalable, and secure data systems that align with the university's strategic goals. You will collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of technology projects.
Key responsibilities will be:
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
* Design and implement data models, databases, and data integration solutions.
* Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with relevant regulations.
* Set standards for data modelling and design tools and techniques, advise on their application, and ensure compliance.
* Shape how data drives the Digital Services strategy supporting our journey towards data-driven strategic decisions.
* Provide technical leadership and guidance on data-related projects.
* Stay current with emerging data technologies and best practices.
The successful candidate must have:
* Proven experience as a Data Architect.
* Strong knowledge of data modeling, database design, and data integration.
* Proficiency in SQL and experience with database management systems (Oracle and SQL Server).
* Significant knowledge of Cloud hosting, infrastructure, and technologies.
* Familiarity with data governance and data quality frameworks.
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Ability to communicate complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
