We are looking for a dynamic therapist to join a small residential care provider to support our young people, alongside staff and be instrumental in the creation and delivery of therapeutic care across our service.
Main responsibilities:
1. Work therapeutically with our young people based on where they are functioning emotionally, developmentally and in accordance with their lived experiences.
2. Be part of the team who provides needs, risk, strengths-based assessments to provide clinical consultations and training to our therapeutic care staff.
3. Provide specialist direct and indirect therapeutic assessment and intervention for children and adolescents.
4. Complete therapeutic reports, clinical formulations, and therapeutic care plans for the young people we care for.
5. Support residential carers to build and connect with their key children from an attachment and mental health perspective.
6. Have knowledge of safeguarding and risk in relation to working with children and young people.
7. Work therapeutically with young people using a range of approaches dependent on what matches their needs and capacity to tolerate the work.
8. Make autonomous clinical decisions about own professional practice.
9. Provide training for residential care staff and other professionals within the organisation.
Requirements:
1. Registration BACP OR HCPC
2. Driving Licence
3. At least 2 years relevant experience post qualification
