Main Purpose: The Warehouse operative, plays a key role in the daily operations of a warehouse /distribution centre
The role of a warehouse operative is essential in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of a warehouse, from the receipt of goods to their storage and shipment. This role will help maintain the integrity of inventory, contribute to timely order fulfilment, and support overall warehouse logistics.
About The Role
Main tasks and duties
Sorting and Storing
After receiving goods, they will sort and organise product in the warehouse. This includes properly scanning and storing items in pick bays, racks, or in designated areas
Picking and Packing
The Warehouse stock operative will be responsible for assisting in picking products from inventory according to customer orders or requisitions where necessary; Packing these items for shipment, ensuring they are properly labelled and protected. Also to ensure we have enough raw materials for the packing process.
Inventory Control
They assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by conducting periodic cycle counts or helping with this task. They may also update inventory management systems and notify supervisors of any discrepancies.
