This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on classroom experience while helping students excel in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
Key Responsibilities:
• Small Group Support: Provide focused academic assistance to students who need extra help grasping key scientific concepts.
• One-to-One Mentoring: Support individual learners, boost their confidence, and help them overcome academic challenges.
• Classroom Assistance: Work alongside teachers to engage students, facilitate practical experiments, and manage lesson activities.
• Progress Tracking: Monitor student performance and provide feedback to teachers to inform lesson planning and interventions.
• Behaviour Management: Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, supporting student engagement and discipline.
What We’re Looking For:
• Science Graduate: A degree in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a related STEM subject.
• Passion for Education: A keen interest in teaching, mentoring, and supporting young people.
• Adaptable & Organised: Able to multitask and support students with diverse learning needs.
• Experience (Preferred): Previous work in education, tutoring, or mentoring is advantageous but not essential.
Role Details:
• Start Date: ASAP
• Contract: Full-time, term-time only, until the end of the academic year
• Salary: £419.25 - £450 per week
• Location: Durham
