An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive, self-motivated and experienced nurse to further develop their management skills and provide clinical and professional nursing leadership to the Adult Outpatient team at St Luke's Hospital. This position is a nine month secondment to cover maternity leave.
We are looking to appoint a dynamic and skilled individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide visible nursing leadership, with an understanding of the issues and challenges associated with delivering patient care in outpatient environments.
You must be enthusiastic and passionate about delivering high standards of patient care and be a professional role model, ensuring patients receive a positive experience in partnership with the multi-disciplinary team.
It is essential that you have a good understanding of the challenges in relation to the areas of responsibility and the skills required to support patients, families, carers and staff. You must also demonstrate excellent organisational skills, an understanding of change management processes, and the ability to inspire, lead and develop a team. You must be forward-thinking and be open to developing and progressing new ideas and innovative ways of working.
Main duties of the job
This post will be to support the Band 7 Senior Sister and the junior nursing team with the effective and efficient running of a very busy medical and surgical Adult Outpatient Department.
