Employment Term: Ongoing Full Time or Part Time (Minimum 4 days per week)
Salary: $83,582 - $100,342 (Includes Annual Leave Loading and Superannuation)

As a global leader, we’re dedicated to bringing change to our communities. In the newly introduced role of a Developmental Educator at Everyday Independence, you’ll be part of an interdisciplinary team, supported to become a highly effective social model therapist.
You’ll work to break down barriers for people with disabilities and ensure NDIS-funded participants achieve the best possible outcomes for a significantly improved quality of life.
Responsibilities:
* Provide person-centered support and planning for people with disabilities, their families, and support teams.
* Build strong relationships to help them envision a life full of positive experiences and opportunities for people of all ages.
* Work alongside participants and their key supports to develop new skills and habits, problem-solving challenges that prevent participants from living fulfilled lives.
* Champion the role of a social model practitioner by helping people overcome barriers that keep them from engaging with their local community and the wider world.
* Use evidence-based practice and professional reasoning to recommend the most appropriate team of supports, therapy, duration, location, and timing.
* Develop effective and strong working relationships with people and their families, identifying and addressing factors that may affect relationships, and repairing breakdowns in a timely manner.
* Enhance people’s capacity to make their own life choices and increase their independence.
* Approach risk positively to achieve quality-of-life outcomes, while ensuring safeguards are in place to protect the rights and well-being of the most vulnerable.
To be successful in this role, you will:
* Hold a Bachelor or Masters of Disability (or equivalent) and be eligible to be a member of the DEAI (Membership required upon commencement).
* You may be required to submit a suitability assessment and be deemed a Behaviour Support Practitioner by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (Evidence of letter required).
* Be passionate professionals with a strong advocacy for removing barriers using the social model of therapy.
* Show empathy and understanding, while being open and non-judgmental.
* Be driven to see high impact outcomes in people’s lives.
* Be able to obtain an NDIS Worker Screening Check & Working with Children’s Check.
* Hold a valid driver’s license.
