We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, organised and motivated Accounts Payable Administrator to join our friendly finance department. Reporting to the Finance Director, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a keen eye for accuracy and a passion for finance. This role covers the end-to-end AP process from supplier set up and management, to preparing payment runs, bank postings and reconciliations, and processing expenses.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE SHOULD
* Have excellent attention to detail
* Be able to prioritise workflow
* Have excellent communication skills
* Have experience of using Sage – 200 preferred, not essential
* Have an understanding of Sub-Contractors CIS scheme – preferred, not essential
YOUR MAIN DUTIES WILL INCLUDE
* Accurate processing of purchase invoices onto Sage 200
* Supplier management – set up, handling queries, reconciling statements
* Creating BACS payments runs and manual payments to suppliers, in a timely and accurate manner, making payments through the bank accounts and allocating to correct invoices.
* Processing of staff expenses using Brighthr POP
* Liaising across other departments for approval of invoices
* Daily bank reconciliations and distribution of banking reports to the Board
* Reconciling monthly credit card statements
* Producing and filing monthly CIS return to HMRC
* General support and administration to the wider finance team
* Any ad hoc duties
ADDITIONAL AREAS OF INVOLVEMENT
* Supporting cyclical stock take and stock control processes
* Key role in project to move from paper-based AP process to digital
* Overseeing weekly payroll transfer to external provider
