Location: East Suffolk
Duration: 6 months
NEC type 3 Option C experience is essential.
Hybrid with travel to site a minimum 3 to 4 times a month. Commutable from areas such as Cambridgeshire, Essex and Norfolk.
A full UK driving licence is required as you will be required to travel to sites across the region.
About the Role:
An international telecommunications organisation is seeking an experienced Delivery Project Director to join their team for a network implementation project for a large, regulated construction environment. You will work for the organisation on a project with a renowned international energy company.
This is a leadership role, and it demands a highly organised individual with extensive experience in infrastructure implementation, strong project controls, and a proven track record in large-scale project delivery.
Key responsibilities
Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of five distinct work packages within a NEC type 3 Option C contract upstream and downstream.
Promote exceptional safety and delivery quality standards to direct and subcontracted work force
Maintain good client relationships at all levels and manage relationships with internal stakeholders and the energy companys stakeholders.
Maintain the organisations reputation.
Plan projects, including reviewing and approving the Contract Project Plan and monitoring and controlling the delivery of the contracts MDR [Master Deliverables Register].
Ensure all commercial aspects of the project are managed in a timely and proactive way giving accurate forecast and estimates.
Manage contractual communications CEs, EWNs, AFPs etc. across the Cemar platform.
Understand and implement the Quality, Safety and Environmental Policies and Targets.
About You
Must be a strong project delivery specialist.
Must be delivery driven, set targets and manage and motivate multi-disciplinary teams to deliver to time, cost and quality contractual commitments.
Must have great at building relations and confident in being the face of the project.
Expert in Risk & Opportunity Management.
Working knowledge of CDM and construction Health & Safety.
Experience
Project Management: Extensive experience as a PM or Senior PM with skills in project controls, financial oversight, and stakeholder engagement.
Infrastructure Implementation: Proven track record in large-scale greenfield infrastructure installation and delivery highly desirable.
Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in Microsoft Project (MSP) and familiarity with industry-standard practices in planning and budgeting.
Supplier Engagement: Confident in managing external suppliers and holding them accountable for adhering to schedules and budgets.
Telecommunications experience is desirable.
