Role Title: Quality Assurance TechnicianLocation: NorthamptonshireWork Schedule: Full-time, 45 hours per week (Tuesday to Saturday).Tuesday through Friday (5am to 3pm) and Saturday (7am to 5pm).Salary: £31,005 to £32,175 per annumPosition Overview:The Quality Assurance Technician ensures that production meets legal, safety, and quality standards. Responsibilities include process auditing, documentation management, staff training, and continuous improvement. The role supports compliance and the proactive resolution of non-conformances.Key Responsibilities:Food Safety & GMP:Conduct audits and spot checks to maintain safety, legal, and quality standards.Ensure adherence to HACCP guidelines and GMP requirements.Sampling & Monitoring:Manage and document swab and product sampling schedules.Conduct cleaning audits and collect microbiological samples for evaluation.Training & Certification:Deliver induction training and maintain staff certifications.Address ongoing training needs in collaboration with management.Calibration & Records:Oversee calibration schedules and maintain accurate corrective action logs.Conduct traceability audits and ensure documentation aligns with policies.Continuous Improvement:Analyse quality data to identify trends and support improvement initiatives.Inspect raw materials and ensure documentation compliance.Required Skills and Experience:Qualifications:Minimum 1 year of QA experience in food production or manufacturing.Knowledge of food safety standards and quality protocols.Skills:Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.Effective communication and training delivery skills.Proficiency with QA tools and systems.
