An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, experienced, innovative, enthusiastic and caring Senior Charge Nurse to join the Prison Nursing team within HMP Grampian.
A high level of interpersonal, communication and organisational skills are essential. You must be able to provide evidence of your professional development. Successful candidates must lead and participate in the ongoing service improvements in our Substance Use and Mental Health Nursing teams.
This is a challenging and rewarding post in which the successful candidate will take responsibility for facilitating and providing clinical leadership and ensuring the delivery of high-quality substance use and mental health nursing care to patients with the prison environment.
Management experience and evidence of continuing professional development is essential. A genuine interest in the care of patients with substance use and mental health is essential. Excellent leadership skills will be vital to develop the nursing team.
The successful candidate will be accountable for delivery of quality and service improvement to ensure the provision of safe and effective person-centred care. The candidate will also be expected to lead audit and support the Lead Nurse in taking forward the nursing standards set out in the NMC Code and NHS Grampian’s Plan for the Future reflecting the organisations values. The successful candidate should have previous prison health care experience and extensive experience at Band 6 or above and be able to evidence leadership in their application. The post holder will primarily work week day hours.
