Job Opportunity: Cleaner to cover long-term sickness absence
This position is to initially cover a long-term sickness absence.
We are seeking a dedicated and meticulous cleaner to join our hardworking team at Blackmore Primary School.
As a cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our classrooms, toilets, and public spaces.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Cleaning desks, dusting, hoovering, and mopping classroom areas
2. Cleaning toilets and ensuring they are well-stocked with supplies
3. Maintaining the cleanliness of other public spaces
4. Replenishing supplies of blue paper towels, toilet rolls, and tissues
Qualifications and Experience:
1. Previous experience in a cleaning or caretaking role is preferred, but not essential
2. A strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
3. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
4. Flexible and adaptable to the needs of the school
What We Offer:
1. Salary: Scale 1, point 2 including outer fringe allowance (£12.63 per hour) 38 paid weeks. Actual salary £4,394.60 per annum including 5.5 weeks holiday pay.
2. Contract: Term-time contract with the opportunity to work additional hours during the summer holiday for our deep clean.
3. Afternoon sessions from 3.30pm to 5.30pm, Monday to Thursday and 3.30pm to 5pm on Friday.
