The RoleHays are recruiting for an exciting opportunity for a Release Engineer to join our client on an ongoing long term temporary assignment for an approximate duration of 12 months (rolling, reviewed annually).
The Release Team comprises of system experts with diverse backgrounds in manufacturing, engineering, and IT. This cross-functional knowledge allows for a comprehensive understanding of the Bespoke process and provides opportunities to learn from experienced professionals in various domains. Key Responsibilities
1. Lead the creation of the Bill of Materials (BoM) specific to the Bespoke Features request, working alongside
the Engineering and Manufacturing technologies, to enable the
integration of the Bespoke (BoM) alongside the Series (BoM) for the planned customer vehicle specification.
2. Manage own work landscape to deliver Bespoke projects.
3. Create and release format DZA drawing files from Prisma CAD that supports the Engineering Releases and the part procurement processes.
4. Maintain own
Bespoke Release database against continuously changing Series Engineering Master data TAIS database. This is essential to avoid BOM errors in the Goodwood logistics process.
5. Problem resolution of Bespoke and Series Parts database ambiguities ensuring achievement of BDQV Quality and Resolution targets. Problem resolution through the PMP process for any Production impact topics.
6. Manage the development of the engineering parts list process to improve IFF release quality and provide improved transparency to the wider bespoke team.
7. Ensure all Bespoke feature projects comply with the latest Vehicle WLTP requirements for weight, liaising with the relevant Regulation and homologation departments, leading the resolution of conflict between cross divisional process partners.
Skills and Qualifications:•Experience of Automotive Product Change Management processes•Considerable experience of Automotive Manufacturing processes and sequences, preferably low and high-volume facilities.•Proven experience of Sales Order and Release systems (e.g. Configurator, OKA, Tais, IFF).•Extensive knowledge of Rolls-Royce Logistics SAP and BOM creation systems and an understanding of Lead Time targets and Stock Strategy.•Business/technical German language would be advantageous.•Good Interpersonal Skills are a prerequisite to effectively manage and motivate a professional multi-skilled team to deliver our defined often tight Bespoke business targets.
