Your Purpose:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Procurement Professional or Procurement Consultant to help us establish our Procurement expertise within the Midlands Commercial & Procurement team. The successful candidate will have a passion to work with our Critical National Infrastructure clients operating with a growth mindset to build relationships with our key clients. This role requires you to pull on your procurement and commercial expertise to advise and help deliver a wide range of procurement, commercial and supply chain requirements, from strategy to procurement through to supplier management, all whilst focusing on ensuring maximum value within the supply chain eco-system for our clients. The ideal candidate is a team player, has growing leadership qualities and possesses the softer consulting skillset required to thrive in a client environment.
What you can bring:
* A Procurement Professional or Procurement Consultant with experience in major programmes and complex infrastructure within construction, engineering, manufacturing, oil and gas or UK Public Sector organisations. Ability to work in a client-facing environment, alongside multidisciplinary teams of colleagues, clients and partners to deliver solutions to complex client or industry challenges.
* Experience in a wide range of end-to-end procurement lifecycle activities, with the ability to advise or deliver complex procurements across clients' most strategic projects. Applicants should have experience in producing procurement strategies, defining complex requirements, supporting the delivery of procurements, mobilising contracts and maximising supplier relationship management.
* Experience with construction contracts such as NEC, JCT, FIDIC and can confidently produce and advise clients on their application. Practical experience in working in any of the UK regulated markets under public sector regulations. Candidates should also have awareness and be able to discuss the changes in the Procurement Act.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management experience, with the ability to engage across complex stakeholder environments, utilising a range of informative communication tools to support buy-in across the organisation.
* Ability and willingness to develop technical and consulting skills to deliver excellent service to our clients, representing the AtkinsRéalis brand to the best of their ability. Can develop commercial governance procedures, processes and systems within a client environment, taking into consideration clients' strategic aims, challenges and current operational activities.
* Experience delivering procurement under any of the following procedures e.g. Competitive Dialogue, Innovation Partnerships, Frameworks or Dynamic Purchasing Systems. Knowledge of collaborative forms of procurement development such as Alliances, Partnering, Early Contract Involvement and Multi-lotted collaborative frameworks. Managerial experience with the skills to guide and mentor junior team members and drive forward the team’s procurement consulting capability.
* Business development and win-work experience, such as bid writing, pre-contract engagement, client relationship management. Achieved or is working towards a relevant chartership and qualification such as MRICS, MCIPS or MCIOB (or similar). Confident in data analysis, utilising data to make informed procurement decisions and identify trends, supported with tools such as Excel, Power Bi, Tableau. Experience in planning or overseeing projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget.
