You must be forward thinking, and committed to the ever-evolving needs of the department and be proactive in the journey of improving the experience of the general public who access our emergency services daily.

You will be responsible for the care and development of both junior colleagues and student nurses, creating an atmosphere conducive to learning and practice development, whilst also planning, providing and maintaining a high standard of effective nursing care to our patients/clients and their relatives.

Main duties of the job
As a Senior Sister/Charge Nurse, within the Emergency Department, you will be responsible for ensuring that safe, effective and high-quality care is provided round-the-clock, taking the lead in the management of all clinical duties, exploring safe provision of the service through skill-mix review and allocation to workload.
You will also support the development of all staff, creating an atmosphere conducive to learning and practice development and continuously develop and enhance your own knowledge and skills, which will directly influence consistent standards of clinical practice.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post. English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
