We are seeking an experienced Science Technician to join our secondary school in Pudsey. You will play a key role in supporting the science department, ensuring the smooth running of practical lessons, and maintaining a safe, efficient laboratory environment.

Position Type: Full-Time, Long-Term
Requirements:
1. Previous experience working as a Science Technician in a school or similar setting is essential.
2. Strong understanding of laboratory safety protocols and procedures.
3. Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
5. Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Responsibilities:
6. Preparing and setting up laboratory equipment and materials for practical experiments in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics lessons.
7. Assisting teachers and students during practical sessions, ensuring health and safety standards are met.
8. Managing and maintaining laboratory stock, including chemicals and equipment.
9. Carrying out regular maintenance, cleaning, and safe disposal of hazardous materials.
10. Organising and overseeing the proper storage of apparatus and chemicals according to safety regulations.
11. Assisting with administrative tasks related to the science department.
