A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced administrator to join a supportive team who work collaboratively to contribute to the continued success of the school. We are seeking to appoint an Administration Assistant to provide support with all aspects of school administration.
Key responsibilities will include providing administrative support for a variety of areas including departments, pastoral leaders and senior management; the administration of school trips and events; as well as support for our front of house areas as required. Liaising with school staff and external parties as appropriate will also be an important part of this varied role. You may also be required, on occasion, to assist with any other relevant duties which might include helping to set up school events or supporting whole school administrative requirements.We are looking for a proactive individual with a ‘can do’ attitude and the ability to help identify improved systems within our school operations as well as assist in the smooth running of our established processes. Responsibilities will not be restricted to those listed above and the right candidate will require a high level of flexibility.The successful candidate will also have:Excellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work to deadlinesExperience using Microsoft Office including Word and ExcelHighly organised, accurate and detail conscious work ethicAbility to use discretion and respect confidentialityA willingness to train as a first aider (desirable)Experience of working with SIMS (or other education MIS) would be beneficial but training can be provided. A knowledge and understanding of the education sector and/or experience of working within a school environment would also be desirable. This vacancy is full time, 8:00am-4:00pm Monday to Friday and will be term time plus one week with flexibility for the right candidate.
