Role: Pensions Officer Contract Length: 6 months Location: Reigate, Surrey IR35: Inside Pay Rate to Intermediary: £17.70 per hour Spinwell is recruiting for a Pensions Officer for an excellent opportunity within the public sector. RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PENSIONS OFFICER To perform accurate and timely employee administration and transaction processes using systems (Unit 4) where appropriate, to agreed standards and targets. The role holder will create, maintain and process documentation, records and data to agreed procedures and standards. They will contribute to and recommend changes and improvements to develop the level of service provided by the team to customers. The role holder will receive and resolve straightforward and advanced queries from employees/managers or schools, as referred by 1st Line; and assist the team to develop and maintain appropriate systems and processes. SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE PENSIONS OFFICER Educated to A level or equivalent, or able to evidence ability at an equivalent level. Relevant HR, Management, business administration or financial qualification to NVQ Level 3/4, or able to evidence knowledge and understanding of relevant disciplines. Willingness to study for a relevant professional qualification if appropriate. For some roles a relevant degree may be required. Good IT skills. Ability to work with others to achieve objectives and improve customer service. Good written and oral communication skills with the ability to build sound relationships with customers to improve customer service. High level administrative/organisational and analytical skills. Ability to prioritise and plan own workload in the context of conflicting priorities and work on own initiative. A methodical approach to information gathering, recording and reporting. Previous relevant work experience. Experience of maintaining and improving business/ database systems/secretarial processes and systems (as appropriate).
