About The Service
Our Digital Delivery Team are recruiting a corporate trainee to assist in the roll out of Robotic Process Automation (RPA). This project spans the entire organisation and offers an opportunity to develop key skills in business analysis and implementing a new technology.
Cardiff Council delivers over 700 different services to residents of Cardiff, visitors, and businesses across the city. As a local government organisation, our customers depend on us to deliver our essential services every day. You must live within the boundaries of Cardiff to be eligible to apply for this Corporate Trainee role.
This role will involve working online from home 4 days a week with a team day at County Hall on Thursdays.
About the job
In this Corporate Trainee role, you will learn to:
* Assist in documenting current business processes using flowcharts and detailed descriptions.
* Collect and compile data related to process performance metrics.
* Support the gathering and analysis of functional and non-functional requirements.
* Draft communication materials and schedule meetings with stakeholders and project team members.
* Generate and distribute regular status reports on project progress.
* Maintain and organise project knowledge repositories and documentation.
To support your development, you will receive on-the-job training and supervision to help you deliver an efficient and effective service in a positive and customer-focused manner. You will also be supported by a named mentor to encourage you to develop a range of transferable skills to support your career progression.
Many of our teams work online with a mix of home or hybrid (office) working. Where homeworking is required, you will be given the necessary equipment and training; however, you will need to arrange your own internet connectivity (support may be available to help with this).
The team operates between 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
