Role: Loading Master
Job Type: Permanent
Location: Belfast
Salary: £25k - £27k
Key Responsibilities:
1. Undertake terminal and jetty operations as directed, ensuring operational and client requirements are met while complying with Client and SGS procedures.
2. Conduct tasks in a safe and efficient manner, minimizing potential hazards, including environmental damage, to facilitate the safe discharge of vessels at various locations.
3. Perform pre-arrival and post-departure checks and clean up of jetty areas to maintain good housekeeping for the client.
4. Monitor terminal storage tank levels during product movements to prevent under or overloading.
5. Provide information for incident investigations as required, contributing to continuous improvement and health and safety standards.
6. Report all observations of defects, near misses, and incidents that could compromise health, safety, environment, plant integrity, or security.
7. Ensure compliance with relevant operating procedures, HSE manuals, and risk assessments in all activities.
8. Work in a safe manner with the correct PPE, fully understanding tasks, emergency procedures, and associated risks.
9. Assist supervisors/managers in identifying and correcting non-conformances regarding quality, operational, or safety matters.
10. Assist with the training of new operatives under the guidance of relevant supervisors/managers to maintain standards.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications/Experience:
11. Previous experience in terminal and jetty operations or related field preferred.
12. Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and procedures.
13. Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a dynamic environment.
14. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
15. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
16. Willingness to travel and work at various locations within Northern Ireland as required.
17. Commitment to upholding ethical standards and promoting a safe working environment.
