Job summary
Come and join our friendly, central Windsor practice. We are looking for a part time receptionist to join our current, well regarded and efficient team. Experience is not essential as full training will be available. Applicants must however have a caring, efficient and dedicated attitude and have the flexibility to cover holiday absences if necessary.
You will be required to work Monday 08:00 - 18:00
Thursday afternoon 13:00 - 18:00
Friday 08:00 - 18:00
Main duties of the job
1. Ensure an effective and efficient reception service is provided to patients and all visitors to Sheet Street surgery.
2. Ensuring the telephones are answered promptly and assisting patients as required whilst following surgery protocols.
3. Managing requests for appointments, so patients are directed to the appropriate healthcare professional.
4. Ensuring accuracy is foremost when carrying out a variety of reception/admin related tasks and adhering to practice policies, procedures and standards.
5. Use of the triage tool when taking calls to help manage the efficient use of the in-house appointments diary.
6. Efficient completion of day to day tasks in a timely manner including E consults, Docman, shared mail boxes etc.
7. Filing and retrieving paperwork if appropriate.
8. Computer data entry/data allocation and collation; processing and recording information in accordance with Practice processes.
9. Communicating effectively and respectfully with other members of the team.
10. Undertake any other additional duties appropriate to the post as requested by the Partners, GPs, Management team or Team Leaders.
11. Ensuring at the end of a shift wherever possible, that all tasks have been completed.
