Main Purpose of Job:
To assist the Senior Process Manager by providing support with clients' technical import and export issues, with the creation of ad-hoc and regular detailed activity reports for the Management team, clients and HMRC using numerous systems.
The role will focus on compiling and analysing activity data.
Compulsory checks:
Due to the nature of the role there are a number of compulsory checks that must be carried out.
1. A criminal record check - basic disclosure (DBS) carried out by the Disclosure and Barring Service.
2. 5-year reference history with gaps in employment scrutinised and accounted for.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Assist the Senior Process Manager in all aspects of international logistics processes, including documentation, HMRC requirements, auditing and reporting.
2. Provide technical support and guidance to clients on import and export procedures, ensuring adherence with relevant regulations.
3. Prepare and produce detailed reports on customs activities, including import/export activity, financial summaries and provide data for compliance audits.
4. Compile and analyse activity data to identify trends and areas for process improvement.
5. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of customs regulations, including import duty and VAT.
6. Liaise with clients and stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and resolution of any customs-related issues.
7. Support the development and implementation of new processes to improve operational efficiency.
8. Participate in workshops and training sessions to keep ahead of logistics, customs and HMRC procedures and industry trends.
9. Interact/build relationships with clients and manage client expectations.
10. Travel abroad as required, for client meetings and logistics process-related activities.
11. Represent the company by demonstrating high levels of customer service, professionalism and a smart appearance at all times.
12. Adhere to all site security and health & safety regulations, reporting any breaches to your Manager/the Directors.
13. Undertake additional duties, or assist other members of staff, as may be reasonably requested by your Manager/the Directors.
14. Upon the successful completion of the probationary period, discussion may be considered regarding hybrid working.

1. Knowledge of customs procedures, import duty and VAT.
2. Excellent knowledge of the English language, both verbal and written.
3. Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office; including Outlook, Word, and Teams.
4. Advanced Excel skills.
5. Experience in international business transportation and freight.

Experience:
1. Delivering ongoing complex customer solutions.
2. Minimum 2 years experience in international logistics and experience in a professional office-based environment.

2. Proficient in French and/or Italian language.
