The Claims Team are looking for a Technical Claims Advisor to guide our clients through the appropriate claims process. You will be responsible for guiding claimants through the relevant claims process giving accurate advice regarding suitable repairers and relevant liabilities.

Location: Shine! Unit 11-14 Rawdon Business Park, Moira, DE12 6EJ
Working pattern: 38.8 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 9am-5:30pm, 1 in 3 Saturdays 9am -1pm
The role
The key responsibilities you could be looking after include:
* Providing accurate claims advice across a variety of products and the processes involved in line with Company and Industry guidelines
* Resolving claims across a variety of platforms
* Collecting accurate information and documents to proceed with a claim
* Understanding our various customer requirements and working with them to ensure they are dealt with in a fair and consistent way
* Maintaining Company service levels and delivering set KPIs
* Providing support to the Sales Team
* Providing a professional, understanding and friendly service to our clients
* Ensuring fair settlements of valid claims
* Handling any complaints as per the complaints process
* Other reasonable duties as required

Skills and competencies
* Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills and focused on a customer-centered approach
* Ability to explain Motor Vehicle Technical knowledge to clients in a manner the policyholder can understand; previous experience in a service advisor role would be suitable
* Good active listening skills
* Good initiative and the ability to adapt quickly to different situations
* Ability to work effectively under pressure both within a team or on own initiative
Essential Knowledge and Experience
Essential:
* Experience in a customer service role
* Good Motor Vehicle Technical knowledge – prior experience in a Workshop Controller or Service Advisor role
* Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
* Good understanding of voice/soft skills
Preferred:
* Experience in an FCA regulated environment
* A background in insurance product administration and claims resolution
* Hands-on mechanical background
