We are recruiting for a Deputy Service Manager for our Glen Garth Service located in Barrow.
Northern Healthcare provides mental health recovery services across many regions within the UK. Our services consist of supported living and community outreach services which provide our residents and service users with access to 24-hour support from experienced clinical and support staff.
As Deputy Service Manager, you will be responsible for the provision of a high-quality service for residential care and employee engagement, providing strong and effective leadership to the onsite team and for the overall day-to-day running and strategic direction of the service.

An experienced, strong, and compassionate Deputy Service Manager to lead our team in Merseyside. You must have strong and effective leadership skills and be committed to the values, passion, and determination to put people first while supporting the lives of people with learning disabilities or mental health illnesses.
You will be providing guidance and acting as a role model to your new team while ensuring the effective delivery of the service with a multi-disciplinary team that fosters a positive culture of support care for our service users. Ultimately, you will meet our quality targets set out by the senior team, ensuring your service provides the best quality of care and support to our service users.
As a Deputy Service Manager, not every day is the same, and it can be quite challenging at times, but the rewards are truly amazing to see our residents improving with the support we provide!
What qualifications or experience are needed for this role?
Previous leadership and management skills working in the social care sector, particularly in mental health and/or learning disability, are essential for this role.
If you are a qualified Occupational Therapist or Registered Mental Health Nurse with experience in a supported living environment, we'd love to hear from you. We also welcome applicants who are proven leaders and ideally have achieved or are working towards their NVQ level 5 in Health and Social Care.

The role is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week at our service in Merseyside. This role requires a level of flexibility as you will have the option to join the out-of-hours on-call rota, which can include evenings and weekends.
